Regeneration of waterfronts has become a well-established international phenomenon of contemporary urban development. Silver Flight Project is meant to embrace this phenomenon by connecting future residential and commercial sites to their historic industrial harbor phantom. Migratory birds were an inspiration for my artistic concept through which I hope to create cultural bridges uniting different cities and countries of the world.
Each project site is considered temporary and could be moved to different walls on different waterfronts as the project evolves. The original mural was designed with migration in mind. Therefore, the fact that each bird is attached individually opens endless possibilities for the size and the configuration of each installation that will vary to fit each site’ specifics.
